Iv been watching alot of videos like this lately and honestly I'm surprised and the answers. As a white person with dreads theres always someone saying "what u wanna be black", "that's a black peoples haircut" so I wanted to start seeing what black people said about it. And ya know what every vid iv watched have been positive and saying basically the same shit.. I guess I just had less faith in people then I thought... Hell yeah well said

I’m white and I have dreads. Here is the thing. Every culture had dreads at some point in their history. Because every culture discovered the comb at different times. I don’t care what color you are or what kind of hair you have, if you don’t comb your hair it will lock up, it’s what hair does. The earliest records of dreads come from India not Africa. As I said I’m white my people come from Scotland and when the Roman’s got there they said they wear their hair like snakes, wonder what that means🤔. I really love your point of view on this and wish more people thought like you, you have a beautiful mind 🤙🏻

Glad i found a video with some educated sistahs leaving comments. I have the same issue. I just pull em out i figured its cause over time they just get weak at the tips. I been growing mines for 10 yrs now and the new growth is serious i never got em done. I twisted em myself so i have big issues with people playing in my hair

Good experiment but you missed the point. Mineral oil and petrolatum are occlusive. As you said it forms a film on top of hair. That's why you use it on HYDRATED HAIR. That way moisture won't escape nor further moisture will enter hence reducing frizz. Talking about attracting dirt and dust.... Well coconut oil, Shea butter, cocoa butter and other oils do the same as well. It all comes down to quantity and formulation.
